The Opportunity
Casper's Pies & Pastries is seeking a self motivated and responsible Picking/Packing person to join our team.
You will assist in overseeing our packing operations, ensuring products are picked and packed according to orders on time every time with each shift running smoothly and efficiently.
* Monday to Friday approx. 1pm to finish - usually around 6pm to 8pm - hours vary daily so we need flexibility
Key Tasks
* Organizing the dispatch area in a ‘ready to pick’ state
* Pack/Label and organize finished products ready for shipping
* Cool room environment
* Ensure special orders / instructions are completed as directed
* Complete manifests for delivery drivers and the customer service team
* Enforce safety guidelines and adherence to HACCP / food safety
* Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
About You

* Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
* Ability to work well autonomously and within a team environment
* Be comfortable in providing guidance and enforcing procedures
* Be flexible and available to work additional hours when available
* Have your own transport to get to and from work
* Forklift licence preferred but not essential
* Food Handling Certification in Victoria is essential
Experience in a food production facility with previous hand packing experience preferred. Applicants must be able to work with some heavy items and be physically fit.
