About The Project

A 30 ML/d seawater desalination plant will be delivered at Belmont South NSW, to provide weather independent supply to the community in the lower Hunter region. Seen as one of the largest capital projects in the water sector in Hunter region, the community is expecting a sustainable outcome for the nature of a seawater desalination plant. It is also the first project in Hunter Water pursuing an IS Rating, as part of its Carbon Neutral Strategy by 2035.

About The Role

We are looking for a highly driven Electrical & Instrumentation Site Engineer for the Belmont Desal Project in Newcastle, NSW. This is a great opportunity for an Electrical Engineer looking to diversify their skillset. This is a full-time permanent role based in Newcastle, NSW. Relocation support can be provided.

Responsibilities Of The Role Include

- Work closely with the Projects Engineering and Supervisory team to ensure timely delivery of programme requirements from a cost and time perspective
- Significant input in managing project Quality Systems with respect to inspections, checklists, documentation, and record keeping
- Planning & programming
- Assist with procurement & supplier management
- Ensure compliance of the works undertaken in relation to technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals and standards with a focus on risk management.

To be successful in this key role, you must have

- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Previous experience working on an infrastructure project $100m+
- Experience in Water Infrastructure, highly desirable
- Experience in Building Services, highly desirable
- Ability to work well with various stakeholders and build strong relationships
- A can-do attitude with a hands-on approach
