About the Role
The Group Learning & Development Manager provides enterprise leadership of learning, capability and organisational development across Wilmar Sugar & Renewables. Reporting directly to the General Manager People & Culture, this role is accountable for setting and executing the Group L&D strategy to support current performance and long-term workforce capability uplift. You will lead a geographically dispersed L&D team, oversee compliance and capability programs at scale, oversee and enhance our graduate and apprentice pathways program, and partner with senior leaders to ensure learning investment delivers measurable business impact.
Role Responsibilities
* Provide enterprise leadership of the Learning & Development function, setting strategy, governance and priorities
* Identify organisation-wide capability needs and translate business strategy into targeted learning and development initiatives
* Lead and govern enterprise programs including leadership development, technical pathways, apprenticeships, graduates and succession planning
* Oversee compliance training frameworks, learning systems, data integrity and regulatory alignment across the business
* Drive evaluation of learning effectiveness, analytics and insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
* Own the Group learning and development budget, ensuring strong financial governance and return on investment
About You
We are looking for someone who brings:
* Demonstrated experience leading enterprise or Group-level L&D, OD or capability functions in a complex organisation
* Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to align learning investment to business outcomes
* Proven experience leading and developing leaders and teams across multiple sites or regions
* Proven capability in learning systems and analytics (Litmos or similar LMS), with a strong focus on governance and insight
* Relevant qualifications in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Training or a related discipline
* Experience governing large-scale development pathways such as leadership, apprenticeships, graduates or workforce planning initiatives
