About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Support Worker to join our Family Rural Resilience Program (FRRP) team in Tamworth.
FRRP is an Australian Government–funded initiative (Department of Social Services) focused on early intervention and prevention of mental health concerns for children and young people aged 0–18 years, particularly in rural and regional communities.
In this role, you will provide case management, care coordination, outreach and group-based support to children, young people and families experiencing complex challenges.

Essential Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must address the following in their application:
* Minimum Diploma qualification in mental health, community services, case management or equivalent experience
* At least 2 years' experience in case management with families experiencing complex needs (e.g. mental health, domestic and family violence, substance use, Aboriginal and culturally diverse backgrounds), or extensive lived experience with a willingness to undertake study
* Experience working with children and young people experiencing multiple and complex issues
* Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with a range of services and stakeholders
* Ability to respond calmly and sensitively to complex and distressing situations, balancing confidentiality and duty of care
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Current NSW Driver Licence and ability to travel as required
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Working With Children Check and National Criminal History Check
Desirable Knowledge & Skills
* Group facilitation skills, including program development and evaluation
* Experience maintaining records to meet organisational and legislative requirements
* Experience working with Aboriginal and multicultural communities
* Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
* Competency in Microsoft Office and online systems
