Job Summary
As a strategic leader within the Institutional Client Group Coverage team, you will collaborate closely with a Director to drive business growth and deliver on ambitious five-year objectives. Your role will involve supporting the expansion of our diversified portfolio across financial services.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaise with existing clients and respond to new business enquiries while working closely with our administrative support team to provide exceptional service to our client base.
* Collaborate with senior management to continually assess and redefine the strategy for ICG to grow our business in the Institutional space across Australia and New Zealand.
* Drive revenue and return targets via in-depth analysis of products contributing to revenues for each client and understanding the importance of driving ancillary revenues whenever necessary.
* Drive the right behaviors around recording activities and managing data related to client engagement, revenues, and balance sheet usage across our client book.
* Collaborate with management, product owners, and colleagues locally and globally to drive best outcomes for all stakeholders.
* Promote a strong speak-up culture, including identification and management of business risks.
Requirements
1. Experience in Institutional / Financial Institutions banking at Associate Director level, covering clients in the insurance, asset and funds management, non-bank lending, and superannuation sectors.
2. Ability to develop idea generation for the Group across a full range of products, consistently meeting and exceeding client expectations through superior service, identifying cross-sell and business growth opportunities.
3. Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing with a variety of audiences, enabling you to build effective relationships and exercise influence both internally and externally.
4. A track record of building & developing successful long-term client relationships including with key decision makers, developing a multi-dimensional strategic dialogue.
5. Strong knowledge of HSBC's Banking products, with ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar product, supported by a strong internal network.
6. Strong knowledge of the financial services industry and exposure to global markets and the impacting regulatory environment.
7. Strong portfolio management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
8. Advanced understanding of risk management and risk mitigation.
9. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
