About the role
Join the Northern Country CAMHS team as a Nurse Consultant, providing specialist clinical leadership and expert mental health nursing care to children and young people aged 0–16 years and their families across regional South Australia. You will lead, coordinate, and contribute to team‐based activities and programs that improve client and service outcomes. Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive mental health assessments, implementing evidence‐based therapeutic interventions, developing collaborative treatment plans, and providing mobile outreach to young people who cannot access mainstream mental health services. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and community partners, mentor staff, support high‐quality clinical practice, and contribute to service planning and development.
Skills and Experience
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and holds a current practising certificate in an approved Mental Health course or a qualification in mental health practice.
* Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post registration experience.
* Effective leadership skills including highly developed communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
