Clinical Council Members
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Northern Territory Primary Health Network (NT PHN) works to improve health outcomes across the Northern Territory by strengthening primary health care, supporting health providers, and commissioning services that respond to local community needs.
NT PHN is seeking clinicians with demonstrated NT experience to join its Clinical Council.
The Clinical Council forms part of NT PHN's governance structure and is established to provide strategic advice and guidance to the organisation's Board and leadership team.
In this role, you will provide expert clinical advice and strategic insight to support NT PHN in improving primary health outcomes across the Northern Territory. The Clinical Council plays a key role in informing clinical quality and safety, workforce and models of care, and the practical implications of policy, commissioning and system reform.
This is an opportunity to use your frontline clinical experience to support decisions about service design, workforce models and health needs across the Territory.
ABOUT YOU
You are passionate about improving health outcomes in the Northern Territory and bring strong front-line clinical insight to system-level decision-making.
You will have a clinical background as a registered health professional, such as:
* General Practitioners
* Nurses
* Aboriginal Health Practitioners
* Allied Health Professionals
* Medical Specialists
You bring a strong focus on:
* Frontline clinical care and service delivery realities
* Patient safety, quality and outcomes
* Workforce challenges and sustainable models of care
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You will have demonstrated experience providing:
* Strategic advice on priority health issues and system challenges
* Insight into community, sector and workforce needs
* Guidance that supports culturally informed and clinically sound decision-making
* Constructive input to support NT PHN's organisational direction and impact
WHAT WE OFFER
As a Clinical Council Member, you will:
* Engage meaningfully with a Territory-wide primary health organisation
* Help shape policy, strategy and outcomes in primary health care
* Participate in a collaborative advisory environment with senior leaders and stakeholders
Members are expected to attend quarterly council meetings (approximately 3 hours per meeting), with occasional additional meetings or engagements as required.
Members are expected to reside within Northern Territory.
