Our client is a well-established civil contractor seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Engineer / Project Engineer to join their growing business. Services span building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental sectors, and you will contribute to the successful delivery of challenging projects.
Typical projects include build earthworks, demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation, with values from $2.5m to $25m (up to $50m+ in some cases). Projects are in Brisbane. Civil experience is required; bulk earthworks experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Working on tenders
- Planning and scheduling of construction activities
- Management of site project teams
- Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
- Preparation of management reports
- Resolving site issues in a timely manner
- Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
- Coordinating internal and external resources
Qualifications and Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
- 3–5+ years’ experience on civil projects, bulk earthworks experience preferred
- Project management qualifications advantageous
- Hands-on understanding of construction and practical problem-solving abilities
- Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
- High level of organisation and time management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
