We are seeking a seasoned procurement expert to join our team and provide strategic leadership in procurement planning, sourcing, and contract management for major construction and infrastructure projects.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to work on a nationally significant project supporting Antarctic science and research. As a procurement expert, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and advice to senior stakeholders on procurement planning and commercial negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project objectives and deliver value-for-money outcomes
* Lead complex procurement activities, including tender strategy, evaluation, and contract negotiations
* Manage high-value contracts and supplier relationships to optimise performance and mitigate risk
* Provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders on procurement planning and commercial negotiations
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Extensive experience in strategic procurement and contract management within complex projects
* Strong knowledge of procurement legislation, governance, and risk frameworks
* Proven ability to lead negotiations and manage high-value supplier relationships
* Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Degree in Business, Commerce, Law, or related discipline (postgraduate and MCIPS certification desirable)
