The Role
We have a number of vacancies for highly motivated Dental Assistants to work casually at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your dental assisting skills and experience within a fast-paced and friendly team.
Your Responsibilities
- Clinical chair-side assisting with a Dentist or Specialist on the ward.
- Providing oral health education and promotion to our patients.
- Preparing, maintaining, and managing the clinical setting, including equipment, materials, and instruments, in line with the treatment plan, to enhance efficient patient care.
You Will Have
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or Certificate in Dental Nursing. Overseas trained dentists must have a qualification in Dental Assisting from an Australian RTO.
- An up-to-date Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
- 12+ months of experience working chair-side assisting.
- Knowledge of patient care processes, techniques and terminology in an oral health environment.
