We are seeking a SharePoint Specialist with deep expertise in SharePoint Online, knowledge management, information architecture, and security, with a specialization in Microsoft 365 Copilot enablement. This customer-facing role leads engagements to optimize SharePoint environments for knowledge management, secure content access, and Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness. You'll work with customers across the east coast, primarily in remote settings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Responsibilities
* Lead SharePoint assessments focused on content structure, metadata, taxonomy, and permissions.
* Design and implement improvements to site architecture, document libraries, and metadata tagging.
* Identify and remediate oversharing risks using tools like SharePoint Advanced Management and Microsoft Purview.
* Advise on governance strategies including sensitivity labels, DLP policies, and retention settings.
* Align SharePoint content for optimal Microsoft 365 Copilot performance.
* Produce clear recommendations and action plans for customers.
* Deliver technical configurations or coordinate with internal/customer teams for implementation.
* Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather requirements and present solutions.
* Collaborate within larger teams on broader Copilot deployments or work independently on focused engagements.
* Contribute to pre-sales efforts through collaboration with sales teams, customer calls, and proposal development.
* Track and report on key performance indicators such as successful migrations, risk reductions, and Copilot adoption rates.

Candidate Profile
Required Experience
* Strong experience with SharePoint Online architecture, administration, and content management.
* Expertise in metadata, taxonomy, and knowledge management strategies.
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 security and compliance tools (Purview, DLP, sensitivity labels).
* Ability to identify and resolve oversharing and permission issues.
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI content readiness practices.
* Excellent communication and consulting skills with the ability to lead customer engagements.
* Experience working independently and within cross-functional teams.
Certifications
* Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert
