About the Business Unit: This role is part of the Workforce and Prison Services (WPS) team, a team dedicated to delivering essential corporate and ancillary services support to prison operational teams and prisoners. Leveraging the technical ability and professional expertise of trained subject matter experts, the team supports the smooth functioning of prison operations while prioritising prisoner rehabilitation and safety. About the Role: The Workforce Engagement Officer is responsible for providing knowledge, innovative thinking, and creative solutions that support Western Plains Correctional Centre's key workforce and prison services function. The position provides expertise relating to identifying workforce capacity and capability with the aim of supporting the prison to meet its objectives now and into the future. Some of your duties will include: * Support the creation, communication and ongoing maintenance of the employee engagement strategy to continually drive positive employee experiences. * Build and foster relationships across business units to ensure employees are engaged and inform.ed no matter where they work in the prison. * Provide support and advice to managers in relation to organisational culture, values and other workforce engagement related activities.
