Community Member for Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee
The Ballina Shire Council's ARIC is seeking two new independent members to join their team. This committee reviews and provides independent advice on risk management, internal controls, and council effectiveness.
A key aspect of this role is taking a professional approach and understanding the council's business and culture. Participating in training and acting in the best interests of the council are also essential responsibilities.
Applicants should have a capacity to read financial statements, understand ethical requirements, and form independent judgments. Governance and management expertise, as well as relevant professional qualifications, are desirable but not necessary.
