John Wollaston Anglican Community School – Camillo WA is seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join the Year 7 team. This is a fixed term, full time position for Term 2, 2026, offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a pivotal stage in our students' schooling journey.
Our Year 7 Transition Program provides a supportive bridge into Secondary schooling. Students benefit from the consistency of a dedicated teacher for the majority of the day, while also experiencing the richness of specialist Secondary classes. Housed in our purpose-built Year 7 Centre, our four Year 7 classes enjoy a nurturing environment grounded in strong pastoral care and a robust academic framework.
Position Details
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering Mathematics, English, Science, and Humanities and Social Sciences, ensuring engaging and high-quality learning experiences. We are seeking a collaborative team player who brings enthusiasm, innovation and a genuine commitment to the holistic development and success of every student.
We encourage applications from a diverse range of candidates, including experienced teachers, recent graduates ready to begin their careers, and Primary-trained educators seeking to expand into a Year 7 setting. Applicants with a Science or Humanities background will be highly regarded, as we have an additional opportunity to cover a staff member taking Long Service Leave in Term 3 which may extend the contract.

Selection Criteria
We are seeking an individual who:
* Actively supports the Mission, Vision and Ethos and Core Values of AngliSchools and John Wollaston Anglican Community School.
* Actively supports and promotes a strong child safety culture.
* Demonstrates an understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and the capacity to deliver this effectively to young adolescents.
* Demonstrates the ability to create a student-centred and engaging teaching and learning environment, underpinned by contemporary educational theory, and to inspire students by fostering a genuine love and appreciation for learning.
* Demonstrates understanding in curriculum differentiation and task modification for diverse educational needs.
* Demonstrates an understanding of the teaching, learning, assessment and reporting cycle using digital platforms, such as SEQTA.
* Demonstrates competencies in ICT, with a good working knowledge of the SEQTA platform.
* Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team with an inter-disciplinary approach to teaching.
* Demonstrates excellent administrative and organisational skills including strong written and verbal communication skills and effective time management.
* Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills in interactions with colleagues, parents and students and fosters positive relationships within the School community.
Essential Requirements
* Bachelor of Education or a degree qualification supported by a Post Graduate Diploma of Education.
* Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
* Hold a valid Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain.
