This position is based within the Community Occupational Therapy team at East Maitland Community Health, servicing clients across the Maitland and Dungog local government areas. The Community Occupational Therapy team is a group of friendly, innovative, passionate and patient-focused Occupational Therapists who are looking forward to welcoming an additional team member.

About The Role

The Community Occupational Therapy team is seeking a skilled team player to join the service as a Community Occupational Therapist (Level 3). In this role, you will provide Occupational Therapy care in the community for patients and their families requiring OT input. You will work alongside experienced community Occupational Therapists who provide generalist and palliative care services, as well as a supportive Allied Health Assistant. This position offers the opportunity to deliver meaningful, patient‐centred care while working collaboratively within a community‐based model of service delivery.

You are a personable and dedicated professional with a strong commitment to providing excellent patient‐focused care. Your outstanding interpersonal and communication skills will be key to working effectively with patients and their families who are experiencing challenges with activities of daily living. You bring a collaborative approach to teamwork and a passion for delivering high‐quality community‐based Occupational Therapy services.

* Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA

The successful applicant will receive regular clinical supervision within the role and will have access to a supportive network of Occupational Therapists working across Integrated Care and Lower Hunter services. Education and training opportunities will be identified and agreed upon as part of performance development discussions, supporting your continued professional growth.
