Role Overview
We are seeking a professional Sales Account Manager to join our Melbourne-based team.
The role reports to the Director of Marketing. As part of the Sales & Marketing department, the Account Manager will manage existing customer accounts, expand the portfolio and identify new business opportunities.
Collaborating with Fabric & Garment Purchasing Coordinators, Warehouse Manager and Production & Finance Teams, this role serves as a key link between customers and internal operations.
The Sales Account Manager maintains strong relationships with fabric customers across Victoria and interstate, ensuring customer retention through proactive service and regular communication.
The role involves achieving sales targets, promoting the full product range and providing valuable market feedback to guide product and sales strategies.
Business development is crucial, involving the identification and engagement of new potential clients through various channels.
Accurate record-keeping of client accounts, managing new customer onboarding and working closely with internal departments to ensure seamless order fulfilment are essential administrative aspects of the role.
The Sales Account Manager submits regular sales and activity reports to the Director of Marketing and contributes to team meetings by sharing updates and strategic insights.
Collaboration with production and purchasing teams is important for developing special product requests and custom solutions.
Requirements
A solution-focused professional with excellent communication and organisational skills is required.
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated with proficiency in excel, CRM systems and cloud-based platforms.
At least two years of experience in account management or sales, preferably within a B2B or textile-related environment, is necessary.
