As a Transfer Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality transfer care to critically unwell patients across the South West. The role involves working independently and collaboratively with a doctor from the referring hospital to provide Practitioner-delivered transfers of Level 2 (high dependency) and Level 1 (ward level) patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality transfer care to critically unwell patients
* Work independently and collaboratively with a doctor from the referring hospital
* Provide Practitioner-delivered transfers of Level 2 and Level 1 patients
* Support and mentor new members of the multi-professional team
* Develop clinical and management skills through ongoing education and training
Requirements
* Recent operational experience in Intensive Care
* Recent relevant experience with intra-hospital transfer
* Understanding of professional and current issues in critical care transfers
* Portfolio of evidence showing achievements in practice/speciality
* Evidence of presentations at local and regional level
* Evidence of delivering teaching programmes to staff groups
