**The company**: Your new employer is a household global brand with a long & successful history. Aus head office is based in North Ryde, they have onsite parking and employ circa 1,200 monthly paid employees. Each week yo can WFH 2 days, with 3 days office based (you can choose your schedule).
**The role**: This is a newly created position that reports to People & Culture and will manage one existing Payroll Officer (who's brilliant!). As Payroll Manager, you will oversee the entire Payroll function and ensure the company remains compliant at all times. The business runs on ADP Globalview and has part-outsourced the Payroll function.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage relationship with ADP on Payroll delivery and processes, to ensure performance and accuracy is of the highest quality.
- Ensure compliance of payroll with Australian legislative and regulatory
- requirements and provide support and leadership on complex issues as required.
- Manage and oversee the payroll processing and preparation for the monthly and out of cycle pay runs (approximately 1200+ employees).
- Manage complex payroll adjustments, and payroll calculations and assist with ad hoc payments as required.
- Ensuring accurate and timely process of payroll processing, in line with the schedule including compliance with statutory requirements.
- Manage the change management, training, and support for time and attendance rollout in the GV portal.
- Shape the future of the payroll function, identifying opportunities for continuous improvements to enhance payroll processes and systems.
- Perform regular audits to ensure all outputs remain compliant with current industrial instruments and relevant legislation.
- Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and best practices to ensure optimal value and full regulatory compliance.
- Maintain SOP, work instructions and user guides, and communication material as and when required.
- Perform pre-payroll checking, including variance reporting and reconciliation to ensure payroll data is complete and accurate.
- Manage our defined benefit scheme and ensure any additional superannuation is paid appropriately.
- Manage international assignees' payments and liaise with our outsourced provider to ensure payments are correct.
- Coordinate and manage payroll sign-off as well as bank file approval.
