Cook (Chef De Partie) – Busy Restaurant
Company: B & E Knight Pty Ltd & A J Knight Pty Ltd (ABN: **************) own and operate a busy restaurant located at Camooweal Roadhouse - CAMOOWEAL QLD ****.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for cooking and preparing food in our dine‐in establishment within the relevant section of kitchen and service (breakfast, lunch or dinner).
Duties
* Preparing, cooking and presenting quality dishes within a section using ovens, grills and other cooking implements etc.
* Portion, plate, season and garnish food and cooked foods before service.
* Prepare various sauces, marinades, spice mixes, rubs for various produce.
* Implementation of all recipes, food produced are subject to the approval of management.
* Assisting the Chef/s in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes.
* Internal kitchen operating processes must be approved by management.
* Assisting with and implementing the management of health and safety.
* Assisting with and implementing the management of food hygiene practices.
* Ensure hygiene in food storage, food quality, and food handling.
* Record temperature of cooked, raw goods/foods and storage facilities in line with health and hygiene policies.
* Oversee food quality of received produce and stored produce.
* Receive goods and document receipt of goods in their condition.
* Where applicable, prepare in consultation with management, food preparation and service for events and functions.
* Ensure food cooked meets with customers' health/allergy requirements.
Qualifications
Appropriate formal qualifications (work experience may be accepted in lieu of formal qualifications) + 1-year minimum work experience as a cook/chef in a commercial kitchen is required.
Salary and Hours
Salary: $75,000 - $81,000 + Superannuation – commensurate with experience, skill level and qualifications. Job Type: Full time – 38 hours per week includes weekend work.
