The Role
We're seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Cook (not a Head Chef role) to join our friendly Catering Team on a full-time basis with some alternating weekend shifts. Flexibility is available for the right candidate, and we're open to applications from those in the final year of their Cooking Certificate if they have a minimum of 1 years working experience within a kitchen.
Reporting to the Head Chef, you'll play a key role in delivering meals that enhance the health and wellbeing of our residents. You'll prepare a varied, appetising, and nutritious menu that meets residents' medical and personal needs, aligns with Aged Care Quality Standards, and supports their quality of life.
What You'll Do
* Lead and support the Kitchen Team to create a positive, well-organised and motivated environment
* Deliver meals that are safe, nutritious, and beautifully presented
* Ensure all food safety standards and guidelines are met
* Manage stock ordering, maintaining par levels and reducing waste
* Work collaboratively to make mealtimes a highlight of each resident's day
Who You Are
* 1–2 years' experience as a Cook/Chef (aged care experience preferred)
* Completed Food Safety Supervisor Course
* Hold or willing to obtain NDIS Worker's Screening Check
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Hospitality qualifications (desirable, but not essential)
* Please note: Covid vaccinations are no longer required
