The Principal Environmental Scientist will lead complex projects focused on contaminated land assessment and remediation, providing expert technical guidance and ensuring regulatory compliance. They will mentor teams, drive best practices, and support the company’s sustainable growth by championing innovation and strengthening its reputation in the environmental industry. DUTIES. Lead and manage complex environmental and contaminated land projects. Provide technical expertise on assessments, remediation, and compliance. Mentor and guide junior staff and project teams. Develop and implement environmental management plans. Liaise with clients, regulators, and stakeholders. Prepare and review technical reports and proposals. Ensure projects meet regulatory and quality standards. Support business development and secure new projects. Monitor project budgets and timelines. Promote innovation and best environmental practices. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE. Proven experience leading complex environmental and contaminated land projects Strong technical expertise in environmental assessments, remediation, and compliance Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior staff Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills Strong report writing, proposal, and documentation abilities Experience managing project budgets and timelines Business development and client relationship skills Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) essential Relevant Degree Qualifications Essential CULTURE.
