Trikilis Counselling & Psychotherapy is a private clinic based in Winnellie, Darwin, specialising as Darwin's EMDR Clinic & Trauma centre.

The Role
On‐site Mental Health Social Worker or Psychologist responsible for short‐term psychotherapy and counselling for individuals, couples, families and groups. Duties include developing and implementing evidence‐based treatment plans, conducting assessments and evaluations, maintaining confidential client records, and collaborating with clinical and administrative staff. The ideal candidate works from a client‐centered framework, has skills in solution‐focused interventions such as CBT, DBT, EFT and, ideally, is trained in EMDR.
Responsibilities
* Provide short‐term psychotherapy and counselling services to individuals, couples, families and groups
* Develop and implement evidence‐based treatment plans
* Conduct assessments and evaluations
* Maintain confidential client records
* Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff
* Apply a client‐centered framework and solution‐focused interventions (CBT, DBT, EFT)
* Apply EMDR training if available
Qualifications
* Minimum degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field
* General registration with AHPRA (or meeting eligibility criteria to apply)
* Psychologist – general registration with AHPRA
* Registration with AASW as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (or meeting eligibility criteria to apply)
* WWC card and current Criminal History Check
* Demonstrated experience in individual and group therapy and counselling, and familiarity with evidence‐based practices
* Excellent knowledge of mental health issues, diagnoses and treatments, and strong skills in assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning
* Strong communication, collaboration and therapeutic rapport‐building skills
* Ability to implement and evaluate treatment plans and adapt interventions to each client's needs
* Excellent knowledge of professional ethics, privacy and confidentiality, and ability to maintain accurate client records
* Experience working with diverse populations, including people with disabilities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, and the LGBTIQA+ community
* Knowledge of trauma‐informed care and experience working with trauma survivors (highly desirable)
