Job Overview
The role of Medical Laboratory Technician is crucial to providing integrated and timely diagnostic capabilities as part of a large pathology laboratory network.
As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be working in a dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to engage in interesting and complex work, collaborate with various research institutions, and support the local community while addressing complex state-wide needs.
You will be responsible for routine sample processing, white cell isolation, nucleic acid extraction, PCR setup, and other laboratory administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Support diagnostic services with a particular focus in the areas of molecular haematology and oncology.
Requirements
Qualifications
* An associate diploma in medical science or equivalent with subjects relevant to molecular biology.
Experience and Skills
* Experience in a NATA accredited laboratory.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Able to work accurately with minimal supervision.
* Able to do repetitive work without losing concentration.
* Ability to function well in a team environment.
