MEAT WRAPPER

Williamson's FoodWorks has an exciting opportunity available for a self-motivated individual to join our team as a Meat Wrapper. The hands-on role will be to service our Meat Department at our Gisborne Store.
15 to 20 Hours per week. Must be able to work 7am to 1pm. Saturday and Sunday a must.
Reporting to the Meat Manager
The duties and responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to:
Prepare, packages and displays fresh meat products for sale
Weigh, wrap and price meat products with appropriate labels
Monitor the quality of stock
Monitor and ensure all tickets are displayed correctly
Maintains stock displays in cabinets and on shelves
Assist with the ordering, receiving, unloading, storage and rotation of stock in the Meat Department as required
End of day meat room clean up
Maintains high standard of cleaning in all areas of Meat Department
Assist with stocktake activity where required
Adheres to Shrinkage policy
Other reasonable duties as assigned by Butchers & Senior Meat Attendants
Be comfortable working with raw meat, including beef, lamb, pork and chicken
Be comfortable working in a cool room environment.
Have the ability to perform manual handling tasks up to 25kg
Be physically capable of being on your feet for long periods of time
Previous experience working in a Meat Room would beneficial but certainly not essential
Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external customers
Excellent organisational skills and strong problem solving ability
Be a team player who is adaptable and adaptable to change
Positive attitude with lots of initiative
Be willing and able to work a flexible roster within the span of trading hours across 7 days per week as required
