About the role
JAA Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and dedicated MC Interstate Truck Driver to join our team in Townsville, Queensland. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across state borders, playing a crucial part in our nationwide logistics operations.
What you'll be doing
1. Safely operating a variety of heavy vehicles (MC/HC licences) to transport goods interstate
2. Adhering to all road rules, transport regulations and company policies to ensure compliance and safe driving practices
3. Performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and reporting any maintenance issues
4. Maintaining accurate delivery records and providing updates on delivery status
5. Liaising with dispatch and clients to ensure seamless, on-time deliveries
6. Providing exceptional customer service and representing the company in a professional manner
What we're looking for
1. A current MC (Heavy Combination) driver's licence
2. Minimum 2 years' experience driving interstate in heavy vehicles (MC/HC)
3. Strong knowledge of road rules and transport regulations
4. Excellent driving skills and a commitment to safety
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Strong time management and organisational skills
7. Excellent communication and customer service skills
