Maintenance and Workshop Technician
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance and Workshop Technician to join our team in Griffith, NSW. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery used in aquaculture operations and workshops.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine and reactive maintenance on plant, machinery, and site infrastructure
* Diagnose and repair pumps, motors, pipework, filtration systems, and fixed plant equipment
* Complete welding, cutting, fabrication, and light mechanical assembly as required
* Respond to breakdowns promptly to restore operations safely
* Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections
* Identify and report faults, defects, and safety risks
* Maintain workshops, service vehicles, tools, and equipment
* Assist with inventory control, spare parts, and consumables
* Support general facility upkeep, minor construction, and site improvements
* Work closely with production teams and site supervisors to support operations
Requirements:
* Relevant trade qualification (Mechanical, Fitting & Turning, Plumbing or similar)
* Proven experience in mechanical maintenance and workshop environments
* Sound knowledge of plumbing systems and water infrastructure
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Ability to read maintenance documentation and drawings
* Physically fit and capable of manual work
* Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting
* HR (or higher) driver's licence

About the Role:
This is a full-time role that requires occasional weekend work and callouts. You will work in outdoor and industrial environments, exposed to weather conditions, and may need to travel between company sites.
