Family Violence Specialist
We are seeking a compassionate and committed professional to support women and children experiencing domestic and family violence through trauma-informed legal services, advocacy, and outreach.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality legal advice, representation, and education across regional and remote communities in Western NSW. This includes providing legal advice and representation in family law, AVOs, victims' support, and related areas. They will also assist clients through a trauma-informed, culturally safe, and client-centred approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality legal advice, representation, and education to support clients experiencing domestic and family violence.
* Provide legal advice and representation in family law, AVOs, victims' support, and related areas.
* Assist clients through a trauma-informed, culturally safe, and client-centred approach.
* Collaborate with caseworkers and external agencies to address non-legal needs through holistic support.
Requirements:
* Must have a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and eligibility (or current holding) of a NSW practising certificate.
* Demonstrated commitment to social justice, particularly for women, First Nations communities, and people experiencing systemic disadvantage.
* Knowledge and experience in family law, domestic violence, and related legal areas.
* Capacity to work holistically with clients, including sensitivity to trauma and intersectional needs.
