**About this Position**:
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our forward-thinking team as an Asset Systems Technician - internally referred to as our Asset Technician. In this pivotal role, you will contribute directly to the strategic development and sustainability of Council's infrastructure by ensuring our asset data is accurate and effectively maintained.
You will be responsible for the effective management and ongoing maintenance of Council's Asset Management System and Geographical Information System data across all asset classes.

**What we trust you to deliver**:
- Accurately read engineering/building plans and specifications
- Provide input to strategic processes for all Council assets
- Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in maintaining the asset capital value records and financial reporting
- Conduct asset inspections and undertake site surveys for collection of asset information/condition and verification of recorded data as required
**What you will need to be successful**:
- Associate Diploma in an engineering, accounting or IT discipline (or studying towards) or experience in a similar role
- WorkCover Construction Induction Certificate (White Card) or willing to obtain
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated computer literacy including the use and operation of computer-based asset management systems

**Full Time**:70 hours per fortnight
**Salary**: From $1,421.20 to $1,634.38 per week + superannuation
