Role Overview The Test Lead will own and drive the testing strategy, planning, and execution for the end-to-end migration from the existing ClickSoftware environment to the new IFS Cloud platform. This onsite role requires strong collaboration with project stakeholders including the business stakeholders, IFS product vendor and Wipro testing teams to ensure data integrity, functional validation, and a seamless transition with minimal disruption to business operations. Key Responsibilities · Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy and detailed test plans that outline objectives, scope, testing techniques, and resources for all phases of the migration, including data migration, functional, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT). · Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead, mentor, and guide a joint team of testers from the client, Wipro, and IFS. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to established testing methodologies and quality standards. · Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison for testing activities, coordinating closely with cross-functional teams, project managers, developers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define validation cases, and report on progress, risks, and blockers. · Test Execution & Defect Management: Oversee the execution of test cases (manual and automated), ensuring that results are accurately documented. Manage the defect tracking and resolution process using tools like JIRA or HP ALM, coordinating with development teams (IFS & Wipro) for timely issue resolution. · Data Migration Oversight: Actively contribute to data migration planning and execution, ensuring the Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) of data from ClickSoftware to IFS Cloud is accurate and complete. This involves defining transformation logic, data mapping strategies, and robust data integrity checks. · Quality Assurance: Ensure quality controls are in place at all stages of the project and that the migrated system meets all technical, functional, and business requirements. · Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the testing process, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues promptly to project management. · Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular test status reports, defect reports, and sign-off documentation to all stakeholders. Required Qualifications & Skills · Experience: o Proven experience leading testing teams and projects. o Demonstrated experience as a Test Lead or Data Migration Lead on large-scale ERP or FSM (Field Service Management) implementation/migration projects is highly desirable. o Experience with cloud migration testing methodologies and best practices. · Technical Skills: o Familiarity with the functionalities of Field Service Management software (specifically ClickSoftware and/or IFS Cloud). o Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall). o Proficiency in test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM). o Strong SQL skills for database queries and data validation. o Understanding of DevOps and cloud tools (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a bonus. · Soft Skills: o Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills to work effectively within a joint delivery model. o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot complex issues. o Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. o Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
