Darling Range SC is located approximately 15 kilometers east of the Perth city centre in the foothills of Perth. The College is experiencing rapid growth and is seen as a school of choice by the local community and by students from across the state who enrol in our specialist sports programs.

As the state's only Sports College, Darling Range SC provides specialist programs in Australian Football League (AFL), Athletics, Baseball, Basketball, Netball, Soccer, Swimming and Rugby. Complementing our sporting programs are extensive opportunities to participate in the Academic Challenge and Enrichment Program (ACES), the Music Program, the Vocational Educational Program and the Arts Program.
The Role
Darling Range Sports College (SC), an Independent Public School, is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic English Teacher who can inspire students to engage in curriculum, strive for excellence and is proactive in improving student outcomes.
The successful applicant should possess excellent interpersonal skills an ability to provide students with the highest quality curriculum delivery and programs within the English learning area.
The successful applicant will ideally have previous experience as a teacher in the Senior School. They should demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in applying strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching. Experience in teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) English would be advantageous.
A major focus of the College is also the implementation of Explicit Instruction (EI) across all learning areas. Experience using EI in the classroom is not a prerequisite for this position, but the successful applicant should display a willingness to incorporate this into their teaching practice. Knowledge or completion of Classroom Management Strategies (CMS) and Instructional Strategies (IS) professional workshops would also be highly desirable.
