About The Role
The purpose of this role is to provide financial and general administrative support to the Children's Centre Director. Responsibilities include:
* Administration of the wait list and applications for placements, including relevant childcare subsidies.
* Provision of fortnightly financial and operational reports on activity, utilisation and fees income.
* Assistance in the process of child enrolments in the service.
As an Administration Officer you will develop and maintain effective relationships with children, families, Educators, community and stakeholders. You will also contribute to a collaborative teamwork approach and work as an active member within the service team and the wider Children's Services team to ensure efficient and effective administration of the Service Unit as a whole.
This is a Part‐Time position which requires you to work 15 hours per week over 2‐3 days. Please read the Position Description to familiarise yourself with all the requirements and conditions of the role.
Remuneration
$25,814.17 p.a. – $30,090.84 p.a. + 12% Superannuation (based on 15 hours per week). Council's ECEC employees also enjoy a generous boost in their pay courtesy of the Australian government's ECEC Worker Retention Payments Grants available up to the end of November 2026.
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, work both independently and collaboratively within the team, and achieve agreed outcomes on time and to agreed standards.
* Demonstrated experience of accurate financial monitoring, recording and reporting, including ordering and budgeting.
* Experience in the administration of Childcare Subsidy under the Federal Government's ChildCare Package or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrated skills and competency with Microsoft Office applications, accurate data entry and word‐processing skills, including proficiency in CCS approved software packages and corporate software packages such as Tech1 or other related systems.
* Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service, including interacting and communicating effectively with children, parents, staff and other stakeholders, both internal and external.
