The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Truck Driver to join our team. This is a rare chance to combine your passion and knowledge with your technical skills whilst progressing your career.
Key responsibilities
Major duties and responsibilities of Truck Driver:
· Loading and unloading various vehicles such as trucks and semi-trailers using specialized lifting equipment.
· Maintaining and ensuring that all vehicles meet the safety requirements and can be driven safely.
· Driving heavy duty vehicles (trucks) to required destinations following most appropriate routes ensuring safe and timely deliveries.
· Safely maneuvering vehicles into the correct and safe designations and positions for loading and unloading
· Observing vehicles during loading and unloading process to ensure all procedures are done according to safety requirements.
· Ensuring the secure, covered and safe loading of all goods to prohibit any loss or damage due to incorrect stowing.
· Ensuring the safe distribution of weights according to specific load limitations of each vehicle and ensuring weight compliance.
· Conduct verification and documents associated which each specific loading and inspecting the condition of goods.
· Plan routes to meet delivery schedules
· Obtaining clearance and certification of all deliveries as per the policy of the company.
Requirements –
· Diploma with 1 to 3 years full time or equivalent part time previous experience in a similar role.
· Licence to drive medium to heavy vehicles.
· Able to work Independently, as well as with a team.
· Good organisational and communication skills
· Excellent communicator and analytical thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions.
· High level of flexibility and a positive approach to the challenging demands of high-growth outcome
