About the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Accountant - Tax, the role will be responsible for Australian Corporate tax filing and assisting with Singapore tax filings.
The role and responsibilities will include:
* Collate required information for tax computation/tax filing purposes
* Prepare and lodge GST and BAS
* Attend to queries raised by Australian Taxation and Inland Revenue Authorities of Singapore in respect of corporate tax filing
* Liaise with external tax consultants on tax computation preparation and tax return submission
* Assisting on Transfer Pricing, CFC, Freight Tax and other related matters
* Quarterly tax provision preparation
* Provide support to the GL financial accounting teams in respect to assisting on Statutory Accounts, Financial Accounting – Overhead, Payroll Accounting, Non-Voyage Costs, Budget, Fixed Assets Register, and reconciliations of various Balance Sheet accounts
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Degree qualified in Accounting
* CPA/CA or any other professional accounting qualifications
* 5-7 years experience with at least 4 years in corporate tax and Financial Accounting, Reporting, Tax, GST etc. with exposure to multinational entities (as an advisor or in industry)
* Highly developed computer and spreadsheet skills
* Advanced level of Excel required
* Exposure to BI reporting tools and ERP systems (Oracle and/or SAP)
