Job Title: Senior Consultant - Environmental Management
About the Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Consultant - Environmental Management to join our team, supporting major infrastructure projects across the South Coast Region.
You will be based at a busy site office on the Gold Coast, providing expert advice, ensuring environmental compliance, and contributing to the continuous improvement of project delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assess and manage environmental risks across a range of infrastructure projects
* Monitor works compliance and ensure all activities meet legislative and contractual obligations
* Provide clear, timely advice to project teams, consultants and contractors
* Undertake site visits and assessments to support project delivery
* Promote best practice environmental management and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintain accurate project records and support a strong safety culture
Requirements:
We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field
* Strong knowledge of environmental management and risk management practices
* Experience supporting road/civil construction projects in the South Coast Region
* Experience working within or adjacent to National Parks
* Knowledge of the planning and approvals framework
* Ability to complete environmental assessments and review consultant reports with attention to detail
* Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with project teams, contractors and stakeholders
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
* Current driver's licence and willingness to travel for site visits as required
