SALES & MARKETING MANAGER REPORTS TO: RESORT MANAGER / COMPANY DIRECTOR BRIEF OVERVIEW This opportunity exists for a self-motivated marketing & sales professional to join a purpose-driven, on-site team in Yallingup. Reporting to both the Company Director and the Resort Manager, the role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing and sales strategies aligned with the resorts strategic priorities and brand reputation. This is a full-time position working 5 days per week. KEY RELATIONSHIPS EXTERNAL Digital Consultant Business Development Manager (Leisure) Media Graphic Designer Web Developer Copywriter Sponsor Partners Other Suppliers (e.g. printer, sign writers) INTERNAL Resort Manager Company Director Business Development Manager - Groups & Conferences Guest Relations Team Quality Assurance Manager RESPONSIBILITIES GENERAL Champion the SBR and Small Luxury Hotels of the World brands, ensuring all content adheres to SBR brand guidelines Develop and implement a strategic Marketing and Communications Plan Determine appropriate strategies and tools for key message distribution to external stakeholders Prepare regular performance and campaign reporting using analytics tools Design and produce marketing materials, both physical and digital, in collaboration with external providers Stay abreast of industry trends and evolving marketing practices Assist in developing and managing sponsorships and partnerships to establish strong community engagement and ensure fulfilment of all obligations Support the Reservations and Guest Services teams as needed, including phone calls, guest reservations, check-in/check-out SALES MANAGEMENT Assist the Resort Manager in leading and managing the resort's sales strategy across leisure, corporate, group, and events markets POSITION DESCRIPTION Identify new sales opportunities and develop targeted initiatives to drive occupancy and revenue Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry partners, travel agents, corporate clients, and event planners Collaborate with the Business Development Managers to pursue new business and convert sales leads Coordinate familiarisation trips, sales events, and client engagement activities Monitor competitor activity and market trends to adjust sales tactics accordingly Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews Contribute to the development and implementation of dynamic pricing and revenue strategies in collaboration with the resort manager Ensure all sales activities align with broader marketing strategies and brand standards CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT Develop and implement targeted campaigns in collaboration with external suppliers Maintain campaign schedules aligned with resort objectives; ensure integration, measurability, and alignment with campaign goals Evolve and assess the guest journey, nurturing relationships with prospects Track and measure ROI of campaigns, adjusting tactics based on results Develop and manage eDM campaigns via RMS including content, messaging, segmentation, and landing pages CONTENT CURATION Content Strategy & Development Develop compelling content to engage target audiences, drive brand awareness, and encourage interaction Execute a content strategy aligned with resort objectives and brand standards Implement and maintain an editorial calendar across platforms Editorial & Multimedia Ensure all content meets high editorial standards and consistent brand voice Oversee creation of SEO-driven content Lead on-site photoshoots and video production, ensuring brand compliance and stakeholder approvals Create and manage relevant blogs, articles, and itineraries WEBSITE Maintain up-to-date and accurate website content Maintaining and monitoring the API interface between RMS and SBR website Manage and enhance website performance and user experience Monitor metrics and analyze trends to ensure website optimization Create, manage, and optimize landing pages for campaign support Ensure compliance with all applicable marketing laws and regulations SOCIAL MEDIA Champion SBRs social channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others Collaborate with digital consultants to align content with resort goals Initiate innovative techniques to boost engagement, visibility, and reach Analyse performance data and adjust activities accordingly Maintain and manage guest databases and email communications Coordinate influencer and brand ambassador visits and partnerships HEALTH, SAFETY & COMPLIANCE Comply with Quality, Health and Safety requirements, laws, and company procedures Follow safe work practices and use PPE where appropriate Take reasonable care for personal health and safety and that of others Report hazards and injuries promptly to relevant personnel Be part of the WHS committee /Quality training and audits as required PERSONAL SPECIFICATION Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years in a similar marketing and sales role Proficiency in digital marketing, website, and social media engagement Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic marketing and sales plans Understanding of media relations and public relations practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong writing and storytelling abilities Experience in creating compelling copy and visuals Demonstrated ability to drive results and take initiative Experience with website analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, WordPress) Proficiency in design tools (e.g. Canva, InDesign) Understanding of resort guest motivations and needs Familiarity with luxury hospitality/tourism marketing
