Sales & Marketing Manager – The Lodge Wadjemup (Rottnest Island)

The Lodge Wadjemup is seeking an energetic, creative and commercially minded Sales & Marketing Manager to lead our sales and marketing function and help take the business to the next level — on beautiful Rottnest Island.

Working from our Fremantle office, this is a hands‐on role with real autonomy, variety, and impact. If you love hospitality, brand building, and turning strategy into action, this one's for you.

The role

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll own and deliver the sales and marketing plan across all aspects of the resort.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading and delivering the annual sales & marketing strategy and calendar
* Driving occupancy, ADR and revenue through targeted campaigns and channel optimisation
* Managing digital marketing: EDMs, website content, social media, paid campaigns and performance reporting
* Growing corporate, group and conference business (including site inspections and famils)
* Building and maintaining key partnerships across tourism and local networks
* Supporting PR activity, media hosting and influencer stays (as required)
* Overseeing and working closely with our two agencies (PR and Digital), ensuring strong delivery, alignment to brand, and clear performance reporting
* Ensuring brand standards are consistent across all guest touchpoints
* Working closely with the revenue function on demand periods, promotions and forecasting inputs
* Providing regular reporting with insights, actions and outcomes (not just numbers)

About you

You're a confident communicator who can balance creativity with commercial thinking — and you're just as comfortable building strategy as you are jumping in to get things done.

What you'll bring

* Proven experience in sales & marketing (hospitality/tourism/lifestyle highly regarded)
* Strong strategic capability — able to build a clear plan, set priorities, and deliver measurable outcomes
* Strong digital capability (email/database, paid/social, content, conversion and analytics)
* Excellent time management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
* Experience managing agencies/suppliers and delivering campaigns end-to-end
* A collaborative, positive leadership style with a genuine passion for guest experience
* Strong reporting skills and the ability to translate data into clear decisions
