Overview
This full-time position, based in Morwell and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, focuses on ensuring the reliable operation of our manufacturing facility. You’ll perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment like augers, conveyors, bucket elevators, bag houses, and palletizing systems, while using maintenance reporting software to optimize operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct mechanical maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical faults using effective diagnostic techniques.
- Execute routine and preventative maintenance programs using maintenance tracking software.
- Manage work orders, track inventory, and report on equipment health to support maintenance planning.
- Maintain and repair equipment, including augers, conveyors, bucket elevators, bag houses, and palletizing systems.
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet operational goals.
- Uphold strict Work Health, Safety, and Environment standards.
What You Bring
- Essential: Mechanical Fitter trade qualification and a current driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Experience: 4+ years as a Mechanical Fitter in manufacturing or related industries.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, sensors, packing machines) and experience with maintenance tracking software for preventative maintenance, work orders, inventory, and equipment health reporting.
- Desirable Skills: TIG welding experience, HR License, LF Forklift License, Elevated Work Platform (EWP) License, Confined Space certification, or experience operating Front End Loaders or Excavators.
