About the role:
Reporting to the Transition Service Manager, some of your duties for the role will include:
* Facilitating AHP lead therapies across multiple disciplines -may include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, dietetics, speech pathology and/or diversional activity groups
* Monitoring patient response to therapies and reporting to the supervising AHP
* Providing basic education to patients/groups of patients as directed by AHP staff on discreet topics
* Assist in maintaining clinical and patient equipment and associated records
About you:
* Must possess or being undertaking a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent
* Experience working in a service environment
* Sound communication and interpersonal skills – able to demonstrate the ability to work with people from a variety of cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds
* Ability to act responsibly in an emergency situation, with an ability to competently undertake pool rescue protocol per the division's procedures
