About the role

The Strategy, Engagement and Housing Transformation division has a national focus and responsibility for research and evaluation, business development, marketing and communications, policy and advocacy, First Nations engagement and partnership. The division also includes strategic and tenancy-related components of Mind's housing with support services, through the Haven Foundation.

We are seeking a self-motivated Tender Writer for a 6 month fixed term, full time opportunity in the Burnley area. You will project manage and write major tenders and to increase organisational sustainability, in line with Mind's Strategy and growth plan. This role is responsible will lead the writing, coordination and production of high-quality tender submissions, grant applications, and proactive funding proposals.

This role would suit someone who is interested in drawing from their experience in a non-Business Development role, and applying this to growing new opportunities for Mind to increase our impact.

Key responsibilities

* Lead robust bid management processes to optimise shared decision making and risk management, and due diligence.
* Ensure appropriate and rapid response to planned and opportunistic business development activities in line with strict deadlines.
* Manage the development of project processes and reporting requirements associated with major tenders.
* Ensure that formal project reporting is consistent and includes risk management, budget allocation, resourcing, and delivery methods.
* Support the Senior Manager Growth and Development to identify pipeline opportunities in advance of tender and other funding processes.

What you'll bring

* Tertiary degree qualifications in Business, Business Development, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or mental health related field, and demonstrated ability to translate these in a business development context.
* Proven record in business development or demonstrated interest to transfer relevant experience and knowledge to a business development context.
* Strong track record in identifying and securing government, philanthropic and other sources of funding and/or demonstrated effectiveness in relationship management with service funders.
