Canberra Microsurgery is licensed with ACT Health (HPS) and accredited with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards. It has 4 operating theatres and a refractive laser suite utilising the latest state-of-the-art equipment together with a 2 bed first-stage recovery unit and a 12-recliner chair second-stage recovery unit.

We are looking for a confident, decisive, experienced full-time Administration Manager.
The successful applicant will be required to lead and manage a small team of Administration staff and ensure administrative functions run efficiently. In addition, your customer service skills will be exceptional.
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:
· 3+ years’ experience in an administration/office management position within the health industry.
· Qualification in health management, and business administration is highly desirable.
· Experience in leading and managing a team essential
· Experience in FYDO and DOXS
· Previous experience working in a hospital and/or health care setting preferrable.
· Demonstrated high level communication skills
· Extensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite and sound knowledge of IT systems
· Strong organisation and time management skills
· The ability to take initiative, work independently and efficiently
· Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
· Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
· Professional front line customer service skills with a patient focus
· Strong organisation and time management skills
· Understanding of privacy and confidentiality within the healthcare environment
· Able to work within a multidisciplinary team.
· Understanding Health Fund Contracts and MBS numbers
· Hospital billing processes
· Accounts receivable knowledge
· Process improvement and staff training
Key duties include:
· Generate and implement the administration staff roster
· Co-ordinate and delegate daily administrative tasks to ensure completion of tasks within required timelines
· Generate and report data from the patient management system.
· Maintain and update administrative workflow methods
· Co-ordination of VMO applications and ensure all applicants' Registrations and Insurances are up to date
· Maintain office Quality Management System
· Maintain office filing systems and ensure confidentiality of medical records
