Job Title: Safety Expert Professional

We're seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator who can engage, coach, and drive continuous improvement, not firefighting. You'll work closely with leaders to empower ownership of safety and make a meaningful impact in a low-risk environment with strong safety foundations.
About the Role
* Develop and implement the organisation's OHS plan, ensuring compliance with legislation and promoting best practice initiatives.
* Act as Secretary to the OHS Committee and Child Safety Committee, managing agendas, minutes, and reporting to senior management and the board.
* Partner with managers to coach, guide, and hold them accountable for safety outcomes in a positive, constructive way.
* Manage workplace incident reporting, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
* Oversee WorkCover and Return-to-Work processes, liaising with insurers, medical providers, and staff.
* Support emergency and critical incident management in collaboration with the Property & Facilities team.
* Deliver one-on-one safety inductions for new employees and coordinate safety-related training.
Main Responsibilities
* To develop and implement the organisation's OHS plan, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
* To manage and maintain records of workplace incidents, hazards, and risk assessments.
* To support the Property & Facilities team in emergency and critical incident management.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or higher).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of autonomy and self-motivation.
