We host events and peer groups and share resources that help families think differently about what life could look like for their family members with disability.

About the role
We are seeking a creative, motivated, and values-aligned Marketing Communications Coordinator to help implement our communications and marketing strategy. This role is essential for ensuring resource accessibility, strengthening our influence, expanding our audience, and engaging our community.
This is a hands-on role suiting someone skilled in social media marketing and management who enjoys variety while working within a small, values-driven organisation.
Key responsibilities
Social media management:
* Maintain and extend our recognition and visibility among families through social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
* Increase our recognition and influence amongst industry professionals
* Repurpose our current website content for sharing on social media platforms
* Promote our perspectives, upcoming events, and peer groups to current and new audiences
* Monitor and report on digital engagement to inform future content strategy.
Marketing and communications support:
* Assist in implementing our 2026 marketing and communication strategy
* Help prepare and distribute regular digital newsletters and other email communications
* Provide high-quality proofreading for all internal and external communications
* Ensure all public-facing content aligns with our brand voice and style guides
* Ensure all public-facing digital content is presented in Plain English
* Assist in the preparation of articles, flyers, video content, audio content, and similar materials
* Support the team in gathering and sharing analytical data from our digital platforms.
Key selection criteria
* Values-driven: You have a strong commitment to social justice and the genuine inclusion of people with disability.
* Proven social media management skills: You have experience in successfully managing an organisation's social media presence across a variety of platforms. You know how to target a variety of audiences through different social media platforms, and which strategies to use to maximise reach
* Confident and effective communicator: You are a talented writer, editor, and proofreader, and have experience working with organisational brand voice and style guidelines
* Detail-oriented: Your attention to detail is a finely-honed skill, and you take pride in producing accurate work
* Technical proficiency in a variety of digital platforms: You can confidently use a variety of online tools, which may include social media schedulers, graphic design applications, project management (collaboration) tools, and Google Workplace.
* A productive and supportive team member: You have strong time-management skills and can work effectively under pressure as part of a small, cohesive, and supportive team.
Desirable skills
You have:
* experience with WordPress website management
* basic SEO skills
* experience with audio and/or video editing
* experience in podcast development and/or digital storytelling
* experience developing resources or writing in Plain English, Easy Read, or Easy English
* experience uploading, organising, and optimising videos on YouTube
* experience in organising digital content and assets
* experience with Google Analytics and/or other analytics tools
* lived experience of disability and genuine inclusion.

* National Police Clearance Certificate
