Purpose
As our newest Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of our business and supporting travel consultants in our Leisure brands (Flight Centre Brand, Travel Associates). You should have a disciplined financial control mindset, diligent work ethic, be proactive in finding solutions, and possess strong customer service, teamwork, and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
What you'll be doing:
Support and training for offshore providers
Perform EOM checks and action EOM transfer
Assist with cash disbursements and invoice payments
Assess and manage stores' financial health
Engage with area leaders, team leaders, and consultants
Review and analyze Profit and Loss statements and Balance Sheets
Respond to finance-related queries from front-end operations within SLA
Improve efficiencies within finance workflow processes
Provide guidance on wage models and bonus calculations
Train operational staff on finance topics and expectations
Monitor and review at-risk items such as outstanding cash, audit ledgers, debit ledgers, and unreconciled transactions
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and FCL minimum standards for financial systems and processes
Who you are:
Flexible with a proactive attitude
Currently completing or have completed an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or similar
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships at all levels
Strong teamwork skills
