About the Role
Are you an experienced retailer looking for a unique opportunity to make a real impact? Join ALPA (Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation) as a Travelling Supermarket Manager, supporting the operation of community supermarkets across remote locations in the Northern Territory and Far North Queensland. This mobile role has no fixed base; you’ll travel between communities to provide relief management where needed. Just bring your luggage, we’ll take care of the rest!
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of ALPA supermarkets in remote communities
Train and mentor local team members
Implement ALPA’s nutrition policy and promote healthy food choices
Collaborate with merchandising, nutrition teams, and community stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
Experience with retail systems (POS, stock control, staff management)
Solid interpersonal skills across diverse cultures and languages
Ability to adapt to remote challenges (limited resources, supply chain issues, cultural sensitivities)
