Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Marine Mechanic/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone with a passion for boats, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. You'll play a vital role in servicing outboard engines, performing electrical fit-outs on new boats, and interacting with our valued customers to understand and meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform basic servicing and repair work on outboard engines
* Carry out electrical fit-outs and accessory installations on new boats
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
* Maintain clean and safe working conditions
* Communicate with customers in a friendly and professional manner
* Work collaboratively with a small, close-knit team
* Stay current with technical training provided through the dealership
* Support the business in potential future roles including accessory and boat sales

Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience as a marine technician/mechanic (or relevant mechanical background)
* Familiarity with outboard engine servicing and marine electrical systems
* Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* A proactive and positive attitude
* Relevant trade qualifications (preferred but not essential)
