Accounting Professional
This challenging role involves delivering precise financial management and reporting for electricity and gas distribution network businesses.
The successful candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, experience with Australian Accounting Standards, and a passion for driving process improvements and supporting commercial decision-making.
Daily Responsibilities:
* Perform financial accounting duties in line with Australian Accounting Standards and policies.
* Manage month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations using Oracle ARCs.
* Oversee the financial management of ACT electricity feed-in tariff schemes, including reporting and executive presentations.
* Ensure data integrity across billing and financial systems by maintaining key controls over revenue and cost recognition.
* Provide month-end analysis, identify anomalies, and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Contribute to external audits and assist with financial modelling and management accounting tasks.
* Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes.
* Support project governance, executive reporting, and Oracle system users.
