Saltbush Contracting is a privately owned contracting company, providing a diverse range of mining and civil services, haulage capabilities and plant and equipment hire to major industries and mining operations throughout Western Australia.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are currently seeking experienced Mobile Plant Operators. These are full time permanent and Casual positions working 10 days on 4 days off roster doing 11-hour shifts (DAY SHIFT ONLY). The position is offered forGoldfield's region residents Kalgoorlie/Kambalda only.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
* Ensuring that all daily activities are carried out to the highest standard of safety in line with Company and Client policies, procedures and regulations.
* Completing required safety duties such as job inspections, task planning, JHAs, take 5s and others as required.
* Operate equipment in line with daily directions and targets whilst continually striving for innovative outcomes.
* Maintain a positive work environment and lead by example ensuring all machinery is maintained and operated safely with a positive and professional attitude.
* Experience in a contracting environment and proven customer focus.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Experience operating Loaders 924-980
* Mill Feed Experience Highly Advantageous
* Experience operating Excavator/Rock breakers
* Any other experience in various Mobile Plant (Grader, Dozer, Roller and Service Vehicles)
* Current unencumbered WA HR Class Driver's License, as a minimum.
* Current HC / MC License is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills and a great attitude, with the ability to interact at all levels.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet strict deadlines.
* Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with a strong sense of urgency and initiative
* Ability to understand, interpret and follow instructions.
* All candidates must supply a recent National Police Clearance (less than 6-months old) and have the ability to pass pre-employment medicals and drug/alcohol screening.
