An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and team-centred Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our subacute team in a part-time, fixed-term position in the team until January 2026. The Mary Coram Unit (MCU) is our inpatient rehabilitation ward, and the team continues the rehabilitation process in the patient's home, around the Goulburn Valley. It is a bed substitution model for patients requiring multidisciplinary, goal-focused rehabilitative or comprehensive GEM care, delivered through home-based and virtual care 7 days per week.
This role is essential to delivering high-quality Physiotherapy services to a diverse caseload of rehabilitation & geriatric evaluation and management (GEM) patients. The multidisciplinary team includes Rehabilitation Physicians, Geriatricians, Nurses, Pharmacists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Pathologists.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work closely with the Grade 3 Subacute Physiotherapist and report to the Physiotherapy Manager & team lead.
2. Support Grade 1 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, undergraduate Physiotherapy students, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
3. Provide clinical expertise to complex cases.
4. Support staff supervision and assist with relevant competency and in-service training.
5. Contribute to departmental and organizational quality improvement projects.
