We are seeking a motivated Event Manager to join our dynamic event team based on the Gold Coast, QLD.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our diverse, globally dispersed team, contributing to the overall event management and site operations for global event brands including Pacific Airshow, Crafted Beer Festival and others.
This position requires a strong work ethic, dedication, and flexibility, including the ability to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends as needed, as well as to undertake interstate and international travel.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the with end-to-end event planning including all aspects of pre‑production, on‑site execution, logistical coordination, and wrap‑up /post‑event reporting.
* Assist in the development of the overall event plan, layout and strategy to maximise our prospect for economic advantage while maintaining the integrity and safety of the event.
* Assist in the management and provide support as needed to other staff and partners on aspects of the event execution, and help manage tasks as given, which may include Ticket and Accreditation, Sponsorship, Marketing, Merchandise, Activations, Vendors, Volunteers, Public Relations, Air Operations, etc.
* Manage a full event budget, ensuring all tasks stay within budget and on course.
* As required, liaise, and maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders and government partners and keep them informed as to status of event planning progress.
* Assist in preparing necessary timelines, plans, and designs in line with all event planning.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with third parties including vendors, partners, sponsors, local and state government, etc.
* Help manage pre/post event events, activations and marketing activities.
* Assist in servicing partnership agreements and contracted deliverables.
* Ensure accurate records of files are always kept.
* Help ensure on‑ground compliance of all WHS regulations, event best practices, and where required, collect and review work programs, contractor compliance and insurance documentation.
* Assist in developing and delivering brand activations to help boost awareness of events.
* Any other duties and or responsibilities as they may arise or be assigned.
Requirements
* Education in Event Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Demonstrated major event experience (8+ years).
* Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in event management software and tools.
* Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique event concepts.
* Detail‑oriented with exceptional organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
* Flexibility to work irregular hours, including some evenings and weekends, as required by events.
* A positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering outstanding results.
* License to operate a forklift and other equipment (highly desirable)
