About The Role
Council's Community Engagement team thrives in a fast paced, positive working environment. We have a knack for adapting to the needs of customers, both internal and external, and set the standard for planning and delivering high quality engagement programs.
We care about ensuring young people participate in Council's decision making and work toward achieving the aspirations of young people in a transparent, inclusive, equitable and collaborative way. The Youth Officer role is dynamic and collaborative, ensuring the voice of young people is amplified. It involves planning, delivering and reporting on interactive and engaging school holiday, engagement and after‐school programmes, annual Youth Week events, health and wellbeing programs and coordination of the Clarence Youth Network.
This is a jointly funded role with the Department of Communities and Justice and is offered as a full‐time, fixed‐term contract until 30 June 2027.

Q3. Select a piece of work or a project and describe how you organised your work to achieve a particular outcome, what it was and how you did it.

This position is located at Council's Grafton office; however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to better deliver our services in the future.
